Yacht
racing returns to Ulladulla this coming Easter
Saturday March 22 along with other major
yachting events occurring in our beautiful
harbour as part of the traditional Blessing of
The Fleet Festival activities.
With the wonderful co-operation of the
Ulladulla's Fishermans Co-op Mario Puglisi and
the Royal Volunteer Coastal Commander Doug
Musker, agreement has been reached to stage a
yacht race on Easter Saturday afternoon between
the Batemans Bay and Jervis Bay yacht clubs
& others in the immediate vicinity of the
Ulladulla harbour entrance.
Ten
to twelve yachts are expected to participate and
will provide an excellent viewing experience
from our foreshores. The best advantage points
will be on the viewing platforms at the One
Track for All, on the northern headland.
The regatta - race is open to all keel boats
& trailable yachts. Eligible boats may enter
by completing the entry form available at the
skippers briefing prior to the first race.

It
is hoped that this will be the start of an
annual Yachting event for Ulladulla and will
grow in time to include our local yachtsmen and
visiting yacht clubs.
Most of the yachts will stay overnight in the
harbour and participate in the Blessing of the
Fleet activities along with the fleet from the
Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, based at
Pittwater in Sydney
All of the yachts will participate in the Easter
Sunday Sail Past, on March 23, sailing up to the
Narrawallee inlet hugging the shores of
Mollymook and Narrawallee beaches& the
foreshores & back to the harbour.
